All Hallow's Graveyard is all that remains at the site of All Hallow's Church, demolished in 1968, There had been a structure and shrine at the site since the 6th century and several "Govan School" carved stones are associated with the area hinting of it's importance in the medieval Kingdom of Strathclyde. The Graveyard contains many interesting gravestones highlighting the families and occupations of bygone Inchinnan and Renfrew.

Heritage Buddies - Oakshaw Graveyard tour

Heritage Buddies is a project recording Renfrewshire's Heritage Graveyards through detailed recording of monuments, historical and genealogical research and photography. Tours will be held at 11am and 1.30pm and will visit the sites of two of the Graveyards on Oakshaw. The tours start at the top of Meeting House Lane, outside the former Oakshaw West Church (No 9 Meetinghouse Lane) where guests will look at the the graveyard there, before heading up to Oakshaw Trinity Church to explore the former High Kirk graveyard and talk about St Columba's Gaelic graveyard and the Oakshaw West graveyard.

Heritage Buddies - Renfrew Old Parish Graveyard Tours

The graveyard at Renfrew Old Parishdates back to at least the 15th Century and has seen the many changes that have happened in Renfrew over the years. Heritage Buddies will be giving two tours of the Renfrew Old Graveyard. Tours will be held at 11am and 1.30pm and will visit the sites of Renfrew Old Parish Graveyard. The tour starts at the gates of the church and will explore the history of the site along with some of the graves and stories of those buried within the graveyard.

Houston - Houston & Killellan Kirk

Our church, believed to be the third structure on this site, with earlier buildings dating back to the 8th and 18th centuries, was completed in 1875, this year we celebrate our 150th anniversary. The building is designated a Grade B Listed Building by Scottish Heritage and is home to Grade A Listed effigies of Sir Patrick Houstoun and Lady Agnes Campbell, dating from the 15th century.

Inchinnan Parish Church

A series of carved stones at Inchinnan Parish Church date from around 900-1100AD. They are believed to mark the final resting place of prominent figures from the long-lost Kingdom of Strathclyde. This was a significant stronghold which reached its peak as the Vikings were waging bloody raids on Scotland. Another group of stones dating from 1200-1700 are thought to include Knights Templar stones. Inchinnan Parish Church is a striking building. It has a beautiful marble pulpit from Italy along with glorious stained glass windows. Our Church Building was opened in 1968 when the original Church (All Hallows ) was demolished due to Glasgow Airport etc .Lord Blytheswood financed the building and All Hallows was consecrated in 1904. We brought from that church various items of great interest, Stain glass windows- pulpit- sculptures and other objects of interest

Johnstone - Johnstone History Museum

Johnstone History Museum showcases the rich history of the burgh of Johnstone, with a particular focus on the town's industrial heritage. Displays feature photographs, maps, and artifacts related to both well-known industries, such as the Patons shoelace factory, and lesser-known ones like the mousetrap factory. The museum will be open, with knowledgeable volunteers available to answer any questions. Additionally, there will be a quiz sheet for children, offering small prizes for completed entries.

Johnstone Textile Space

Founded in 2024 Johnstone Textile space is a contemporary arts space celebrating textile medium and textile related visual art and design. Hosting a year-round programme of exhibitions, events, films, literature, workshops, festivals and performances, the JTS Gallery is a unique space on Johnstone’s high street acting and both a hub for the community and an attraction for the region as a whole.
