Train - There is a regular train service in both the west and east of the country and trains every 15 minutes link the central belt cities and towns.
Bus - Buses are regular and cover urban and rural areas. For routes and timetables check the providers below. Please note that this list is not extensive; private bus companies may run on similar routes.
Coach - Coach buses are a cheap and easy way to travel between cities in Scotland.
Ferry - Use ferries to travel to and between Scotland's islands.
Car - Car hire is available from many international car hire firms from Scotland's airports. Many have offices in cities and towns.
