Impact Arts
Edinburgh
Impact Arts is a Scottish creative arts charity using creativity to improve lives, build confidence and create opportunities for people and communities across Scotland.
Cashback to the Future is our free creative programme for young people aged 14-19, funded through the Scottish Government’s CashBack for Communities initiative. Through art, music, digital media and performance, young people develop new skills, confidence and aspirations in a supportive environment.
Doors Open Days Colouring Map
In partnership with the Cockburn Association, Impact Arts youth Cashback Summer programme visited eight venues taking part in Doors Open Days 2026. Impact Arts participants aged 12-15 learned more about their city’s rich heritage, made friendships and created some wonderful art. This five-week programme of visits and art-making culminated into a printed, colourable map available for children across the city at Doors Open Days venues.
Doors Open Days Zine
Impact Arts participants also created a fantastic zine booklet, digitally accessible on this page and available at the venues the students visited: St. Michael's Parish Church, St. Cecilia's Hall, Greyfriar's Kirkyard, Edinburgh Printmakers, National Records Scotland, Pianodrome Warehouse, the Edinburgh Central Mosque, and the Museum of Scottish Fire Heritage.
