Stow Heritage Walk

Scottish Borders

In Person

Stow's history includes tales of Arthurian legends, murder, witchcraft and 19th century innovation and education. Much of its history is also visible in the buildings that survive in the village today, including the medieval Auld Kirk and Bishop's Palace, the 17th century packhorse bridge, the 19th century Town Hall, Townfoot Post Office, old school and mill.

Join a heritage walk covering the history of Stow, starting and finishing from the Station House. Hosted by Galawater History and Heritage Association and Stow Community Trust.

Visitors will also be invited to join an informal tour of the award winning Station House building to learn about its history and recent transformation. Please see separate listing for further details.

Heritage walk from 1pm - 2pm.
