Scottish Borders
In Person
Saint Peter’s Scottish Episcopal Church has been part of Galashiel’s history for 175 years this year. It has survived the changes in society that mean that church is no longer at the centre of life in the Borders. The building has also changed, been reimagined even, to accommodate new ways of being church. It has maintained its great beauty and peaceful atmosphere.
It is still a place of worship but also home to a foodbank, a space for the joyful chaos of Messy Church and a meeting place for many groups that exist to help those struggling with life.
For Doors Open Days join us for tea and coffee, a treasure hunt, and hear from members of the congregation about the history of the church building.
