ReTweed, Eyemouth

Scottish Borders

In Person

The ReTweed workshop is set in the heart of historic Eyemouth; on the High Street, running parallel to The Bantry promenade and close to the poignant 'Widows and Bairns' seafront sculpture that commemorates the 1891 fishing disaster. The shop - like many on the High Street - has had many lives. From here, ReTweed now provide training courses and workshops offering women and the wider community a chance to learn heritage and thrift skills using textiles diverted from landfill.

Come and create a decorative textile landscape panel using a range of fabric scraps and trimmings, stitching and embellishment, and using the beautiful views from Eyemouth Harbour and The Bantry Promenade as inspiration.

This is a calm and contemplative session, inviting you to take in your surroundings and enjoy the creative process. We want to show you how to create something beautiful and unique using materials that you may have previously considered no longer useful.

There will be workshops at 10m and 1pm.
