Guided walks on the hour - 11am, 12noon, 2pm & 3pm - out to the Shieling from the parking at the end of the road. The peat-fired stove will be lit and light refreshments served. Your guides will provide information on the traditional use of shielings and the work of the Trust in restoring this important part of island heritage.

Additional Access Information
The shieling is a 15 minute walk across open moorland, requiring suitable footwear. There is a separate compost toilet 50m from the shieling. The path is not marked and is likely to be wet in places after rain. Directions will be posted at the car parking area, and there will be a guide to help at 11am, 12noon, 2pm and 3pm.
