Climb the Castle Semple Tower, Lochwinnoch (5 & 6 September)
Climb the Castle Semple Tower During Doors Open Days

Visitors to Castle Semple Visitor Centre will have a rare opportunity during Doors Open Days to climb the tower and enjoy spectacular views across Castle Semple Loch and the surrounding countryside.
From this unique vantage point, visitors can look out over landmarks including Peel Tower, Kenmuir Temple and Aird Meadow, while learning about the history of the area and the families who helped shape it. Discover how the Sempill, MacDowall and Harvey families influenced the loch and its landscape over the past 500 years, and uncover the stories of the medieval castle and Georgian mansion that once stood nearby.
Guided tours will run every half hour between 10am and 12 noon and 1pm to 3pm on both Saturday and Sunday. While booking is not essential, places are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis, with a maximum of eight visitors per tour.
After your visit, take time to explore the Lochside and woodland walks, or relax in the visitor centre café. Please note that access to the tower is via a steep spiral staircase and is not wheelchair accessible.
