Trinity Church, Galashiels

Scottish Borders

In Person

Trinity Church traces its history back to 1742, when the majority of elders and congregation of Stow moved to form the original Seccession Church in Gala. They became a formal congregation in 1805, the East United Presbyterian Church. The first church and manse were erected in the old part of town a year later. In 1884 the decision was made to move to another site in the High Street, and the present church was opened for worship in November of that year.

Visitors will be able to enjoy some free refreshments and look around the building. There will be information available on the history of the church and on the Christian faith. Volunteers will be happy to greet you and answer your questions. All welcome.

Old Parish & St Paul's Church will also be open on the same day as part of Doors Open Day. Please see separate listing for details.
