Doors Open Days is an entirely free event for the public, offering unique experiences, fun days out and a new perspective on the buildings and shared spaces throughout Scotland.
We help build connections between people and places, and provide a platform for people to share their love of buildings, history, region or subject with the public, whether local or visiting.
Although free for the public, the event relies on a huge amount of in-kind support from thousands of volunteers and a network of area coordinators who work for councils, preservation trusts, charities and local civic societies.
To enable the Scottish Civic Trust to act as national coordinator for Doors Open Days, Historic Environment Scotland are our primary funder. This year we have additional support from the Festival of Architecture 2016.
