Cumbernauld Theatre has a distinguished reputation for producing high quality theatre productions, which tour nationally and internationally. The theatre is based within a purpose built arts centre called Lanternhouse. Located next to Cumbernauld Academy, Cumbernauld Theatre includes two performance spaces – a 300 seat auditorium and a studio theatre with capacity of 70 to 100 seats, a dance studio for classes, a café /bistro and a bespoke 84-seat cinema.
