National Mining Museum Scotland

Midlothian

In Person

The National Mining Museum Scotland is a 5 star visitor attraction and twice winner of the Association of Scottish Visitor Attractions “Best Visitor Experience” Award. We’re based at one of the finest surviving examples of a Victorian colliery in Europe, the Lady Victoria Colliery at Newtongrange, just 9 miles south of Edinburgh.

The Doors Open Day tours are free of charge and the museum is open as usual (10:00-17:00) with standard admission charges. Both tours suitable for age 12 +. Please note that whilst there is no disabled access to the Undercroft Tour, the museum itself is fully accessible.
