Glencoe Folk Museum

Set within a traditional 19th century heather-thatched cottages, Glencoe Folk Museum holds an eclectic array of objects celebrating local heritage and providing an insight into the history of the area and its people. 

For Doors Open Days visitors can try their hand at writing with ink and quills! Adults can write a response to the letter that ordered the Massacre of Glencoe and try to replicate the calligraphy writing from the Declaration of Arbroath. Children can write a letter to Hogwarts, as Glencoe was a set location for the third Harry Potter film.
