WHO COORDINATES DOORS OPEN DAYS IN CLACKMANNANSHIRE

I've been the Area Coordinator since 2000, beginning when I was appointed by Clackmannanshire Council as its Museum and Heritage Officer.
Since 2017 I've organised the event as a Trustee of Clackmannanshire Heritage Trust. The main challenge is the loss of some properties over the years; in a small county it is difficult to attract new ones.
The best thing is when I know that people are delighted to have been able to visit places of which they knew little or nothing beforehand.
My Doors Open Day highlight for Clackmannanshire this year is ALVA ICE HOUSE, where there is much more than meets the eye!
