WHO COORDINATES DOORS OPEN DAY IN INVERCLYDE?

Inverclyde building

Susan Rose, Events and Communications Officer, Inverclyde Council

Inverclyde (31st September- 1st August)

Inverclyde is a small but very historical and interesting region. Being situated at the mouth of the Clyde there is a great shipping history, both with merchant ships delivery sugar and tobacco and the ship building industry.

I have been doing DOD for 4 years now and love uncovering the historical sites and points of interest.

As the Inverclyde coordinator I pride myself in trying to include both old and new buildings in my programme.

As the birth place of James Watt, famous inventor and engineer, this year we are celebrating his life by including a tour and trail of landmarks in Greenock, linked to our most famous son.

You can see the full programme of events, activities and buildings that are opening their doors in Inverclyde here.
