In Person

Come and explore the special and historic Abbot House, in the heart of Dunfermline’s heritage quarter. Climb the turnpike staircases to discover a 16th century wall fresco, a 20th century mural by renowned Scottish author and artist Alasdair Gray, and a WW2 mural created for the Air Training Corp.

There are many interesting architectural features to admire inside and out as well as visiting our artisan gift shop, and fantastic coffee shop 'Prost'. Abbot House is Dunfermline’s oldest house at over 500 years old. With its distinctive pink colour, it is an architectural gem, full of character and unique features.

The building has undergone many changes over the centuries and has been a home and a workplace to a wide range of people. It currently provides studio spaces for local designers and craft makers, and room hire for workshops and events.
