West Dunbartonshire
Kilmaronock Old Kirk Trust has been set up in order to save the Grade-B listed classical building, preserve its long history of community use and enhance the building for today's and future generations of the Croftamie and Gartocharn Communities and a place of historic interest for the many visitors to the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park.
For Doors open Days, visitors will be able to go inside the old restored church and explore the graveyard.
Much has been done within the church since it last participated in our Doors Open Day. There is more to see, including a display of objects and other information within the community area at the upper level.
A highlight is the THE CRUSADER STONE which is the oldest known stone that used to stand in the church yard and is Pre-Reformation. It is a late medieval grave slab, probably 14th or 15th century, known locally as the Crusader’s Stone.
