The history of this building is quite extraordinary. Old photo show a fish monger occupying the front shopfront. External stair reached up from the pavement allowing the occupants and visitors direct access to the upper level. There used to be a private quay at the rear onto the Leven with trade being taken through the vaulted close to one side.
