Cancelled - Levengrove Inspirational Guided Walk
West Dunbartonshire
This walk has been cancelled.
This park is well established with both introduced and native trees and other plants. All this is within an environment that was once the elegant home known as Levengrove House. That too superceded a more ancient period during which this was part of the Parish of Cardross, a place that Robert the Bruce counted within his possessions. That led to his embalmed viscera being buried within St Serf's Church here (now a ruin).
Nearby are two wells that once fed Dumbarton Town Centre with fresh water.
Refreshments are available at the Pavilion Building in which you will find the GROVE cafe.
