Meeting outside Plean House ruins. A circular guided walk visiting and explaining the history of the Plean Estate, Colliery and Country Park. The walk will include the ruins of Plean House, it's stables, laundry, walled garden, WW I practice trenches, stone quarry, mining history and the ruins of the gamekeeper’s cottage.

As well as learning about the history of the buildings and structures, you can also find out about some of the people involved in the estate’s history and the plans to preserve and rebuild the house and stables.

Walks will depart at 11:30, 13:00, 14:30 each day and will last approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour. BOOKING REQUIRED

It is recommended that people come prepared to walk and some paths may be muddy or be covered with leaves. Suggest suitable footwear and to be dressed for the weather.

Refreshments will be available from the Plean House and Stables charity stall outside Plean House at the start and end point of the walk.

Additional Access Information

The walk is on woodland paths, unfortunately much of the paths are not suitable for wheelchair users.

toilets, including a wheelchair accessible toilet is available near the Plean Country Park car park.
