Lochwinnoch - RSPB Lochwinnoch Nature Reserve

Just 15 minutes from Paisley by car or train, this wetland reserve is an ideal spot to get away from it all and enjoy some amazing wildlife.
As one of the few wetlands left in the west of Scotland, Lochwinnoch is the perfect place to watch Whooper Swans, Wigeon, Goldeneye and a wide variety of other ducks during winter months. In spring you won't want to miss the elaborate displays of the Great Crested Grebes, while the woodland is alive with wildlife all the year round.
As a vital wetland nature reserve in Renfrewshire, Lochwinnoch nature reserve provides habitat for a lot of different species of wildlife, including some red listed species such as Lapwings. Their trails and hides allow the public ease of access and provide opportunities to observe and connect with the natural world.

Additional Access Information
The visitor centre and access for the trails is less than 1/4 mile from Lochwinnoch Train Station. There is also free parking on site
