Kilbarchan Smile's Hidden Garden at the Old Library

6 September 2026 (10:00 - 16:00)

Renfrewshire

In Person

Kilbarchan Smile is delighted to invite everyone to The Hidden Garden, located at the rear of Kilbarchan Old Library, for Renfrewshire’s free Doors Open Day on Sunday 6th September, 10a.m. to 4p.m.

Drop in and explore our community garden, discover more about our plants, and chat with our friendly volunteers. There will be children’s activities throughout the day, as well as home baking and a cuppa in our indoor space—and you are very welcome to bring your own packed lunch.

We are excited to welcome local storyteller, Anne Pitcher, who will weave tales about Kilbarchan from 1.30pm-2pm and 2.30pm -3pm. Anne will be accompanied by some mischievous puppets, curious props  and unusual sound makers.

Enjoy this beautiful award-winning community garden, and hear some local tales!

Kilbarchan Smile is a community group established in May 2015 by local residents to harness the strong sense of pride and community spirit within the village. The group serves as a focal point for initiatives aimed at making Kilbarchan an even better place to live, work, and visit
