St. Matthew's Church celebrated 150 years of the building in Tay Street, Perth in November 2021. Refurbished in 2016 it has retained most of the features of the original building.
For Doors Open Days there will be a small 'homespun' art exhibition with art, embroidery, photographs, etc. by St Matthew's congregation members.
In addition, those who attend will have the opportunity to look around the church building, see how it has been renovated, learn something of its varied history, and experience how a modern approach can lend itself to the space being used in many different ways, whilst still being an excellent place of worship. The art exhibition is an example of such use.
On the Saturday morning there will be an ongoing coffee morning with Craft exhibition. Visitors are welcome to join the coffee morning or simply enjoy a visit to the building.
Their will be a separate space for quiet meditation and prayer.
