The library of one of the oldest scientific societies in Scotland is off the foyer of Perth Art Gallery. Here you will find our collection of scientific works gathered since 1867. Archaeology, history, botany, geology, ornithology and photography are all represented.
One of the oldest scientific societies in Scotland, we are opening our library for Doors Open Days. Off the foyer of Perth Art Gallery is the historic collection of scientific works gathered since 1867. All three of PSNS’s Sections will be represented – Archaeology & History, Nature and Photography.
PSNS members will help show artifacts and books relating to Perthshire buildings, landscapes and wildlife at risk. Slideshows of modern and historic images relating to these topics will run throughout the day. The Perth Charterhouse Project team, with collaborators from Perth & Kinross Archive, will also be providing a mini exhibition of original documents relating to the project and providing information on project activities, including upcoming archaeological excavations.
