For Doors Open Days 2023 there will be two digital events looking at the strawplaiting industry in Orkney and Helen's cooking show featuring Orcadian recipes.

Strawplaiting in Orkney - 3pm Saturday 9th
A short talk about the 19th century strawplaiting industry in Orkney. This talk will reveal new and original research about this forgotten part of Orkney’s past.
It is followed by a live Q & A on zoom - if you would like to join please email fiona@theorkneynews.scot.
