Mayfield and Easthouses Church

Midlothian

Originally built as a hall, through funds raised by the congregation of Newbattle Church and financial support from the local communities of Mayfield and Easthouses, the Church opened in 1955. Following more recent redevelopment the Church continues to be a welcoming and well used space for the local people.  

'Rooted in Newbattle, grown in Mayfield - a history of Mayfield and Easthouses Church': for Doors Open Day we will be focussing on the history of the Church and how the local people raised funds to build it, its place in the community and the various groups that have been developed here since the Chuch was built. Tea, coffee and home baking will be provided for a donation to Church funds, and there will be actiivties for children.
