Glasgow Cathedral Festival returns with a celebratory programme for our 10th anniversary.
The theme for this year's festival is Rooted in Discovery, as we reflect on where we come from and what continues to grow from those foundations.
The cathedral, Glasgow’s oldest building, has been our cradle and home since the first festival in 2016. Ten years on, and now a recognisable feature of the city’s cultural calendar, Glasgow Cathedral Festival explores the power of place within the cathedral’s ancient walls.
The programme for this year features everything from intimate recitals and evening concerts by world-class artists to atmospheric silent film screenings and a series of ten talks and tours reflecting a decade of GCF.

We are extremely lucky to be able to host the festival in Glasgow’s beautiful, medieval cathedral, which is both an active Christian church and a historic monument. The festival is open to everyone, and we are delighted to welcome people of all backgrounds into Glasgow’s oldest building. Our main event space is accessible via stairlift, and the Lower Church is a multi-level space with uneven flooring—if you require assistance or cannot use stairs, please let us know in advance and we will ensure your access needs are supported. There are no public toilets in the cathedral, but there are available just 2 minutes across the precinct, in St. Mungo Museum Of Religious Life & Art
