Departing at 2.00 p.m. from outside Finn's Place, Langside Parish Church, Ledard Road, a guided walk around the streets of Langside/Battlefield, highlighting Langside in the 1940s and the stories of the people who lived here through World War II, those who saw conflict overseas and on the home front, and the refugees who came to live here.

We'll explore the shops and businesses, transport modes and systems, schools, places of worship, institutions and the places of entertainment which kept people going through these difficult years and we'll consider the sights, sounds and smells of a very different Langside to the one we know today.

Additional Access Information

The walking tour is on pavements or park paths. The walk involves a steep hill. Parking is available on street sides and bike parking is possible around Finn's Place.

There may be wheelchair accessible toilets available on the days of the walks at Finn's Place though that cannot be guaranteed. Various coffee shops with toilet facilities exist along or close to the route.
