South Leith Parish Church, founded in 1483, has been the ?Church in the Midst? the historic parish church in Leith for over 500 years. Our historic building, redesigned by Thomas Hamilton in 1847, has within it many historical and architectural items of great interest including a unique hammer beam roof and magnificent stained-glass windows. The church has many royal connections including the coat of arms of Mary of Guise and Mary Queen of Scots.

Volunteers on duty to welcome and provide information and informal walk rounds.

Sunday 24 Sept will have public worship 11-11.45am

Like all other cemeteries in the city, it is today owned and managed by the City Council, whose Parks and Greenspaces team have put together this virtual tour that allows you to have a wander around the graveyard from the comfort of your own home.

The wonderful pipe organ will be played by our organ player Chris Dyter for 15 minutes on the hour each hour at:

Sat 23 Sept 2pm and 3pm. 

Sun 24 Sept 1pm, 2pm and 3pm.
