In Person

The Portobello Lodge No.226, founded in 1808. It was established to address the financial burden of commuting for freemasons from Portobello to Edinburgh. The lodge's founding was a response to the challenges of the time, and it has since played an active role in the local community. One of its first civic duties was to be present at the laying of the foundation stone of the local Parish Church on October 27, 1808. The lodge operates from superb premises in Figgate Street Portobello, featuring a beautiful temple and excellent social facilities. The lodge has a rich history and continues to be an active part of the community, with members traveling to various lodges and forming strong ties with other Masonic organizations.
