Edinburgh Open Workshop (EOW) is an open access makerspace of in the heart of Leith; offering pay-as-you-go membership-based access to a fully equipped wood, metal, paint, and textiles workshop, with long-term resident spaces, studios, and an event space all underpinned by an extensive creative learning program. We accommodate, support or mentor projects of all shapes and sizes.
EOW is a co-working multi-arts hub; bringing makers from across a wide range of disciplines, with a variety of skill, into close quarters, fostering development and connections, and providing support to emerging and established makers. We are home to furniture designers, woodworkers, metalworkers, architects, digital designers, set designers, prop-makers, a bladesmith, an escape room fabricator, textile artists, and jewellers.
The weekend of activities will include:
- Free guided tours
- Live demonstrations taking place throughout the building, showcasing the wide range of creative processes and equipment available at Edinburgh Open Workshop
- See our CNC router in action, laser engraving demonstrations, metalworking, the paint floor, the textiles studio, and much more
- Coffee and food vendors
There will be guided tours each day at the following times: 11:30, 12:00, 12:30, 13:00, 13:30, 14:00, 14:30, 15:00, 15:30 and 16:00

The Makers Exhibition has stair only access.
Tours, workshops, and demonstrations are wheelchair accessible.
