Bridgend Farmhouse

26 September 2026 (10:00 - 15:00)

Edinburgh

In Person
2026 Theme

Our story at Bridgend Farmhouse is one of heritage preserved and social and environmental issues addressed. We have restored a typical 18/19th century city farm steading and opened it as a place where the community can take action to tackle the issues of poverty, isolation, low-skills, ethnic divides and climate change.

The 26th of September will be one of our quarterly “Fair Days” in which our home-produced food, jams, plants and crafts will be on sale. We plan to provide live music and games for children. There will be apple-pressing and an art exhibition. Visitors are welcome to stay after 3pm to listen to our AGM.

Guided tours will run as required during the day, led by one of our Trustees or a staff member. Tours will last approximately half an hour and will include a walk round the buildings and gardens and an account of how we restored the derelict farmhouse and how we use it as a vehicle for community development.
