Fife Folk Museum first opened its doors in 1968, having been created out of historic weavers’ cottages and the 17th Century Weigh House.
The museum features exhibits related to Everyday Rural Life, Costume and Textiles, Decorative and Applied Art, Medicine, Social History, Land Transport. and “The Playing Street - Childhood Games” - we will be providing facilities for indoor and outdoor games (weather permitting), for children and any adults who wish to join in.
With over 10,000 objects, artefacts and photographs, this small independent museum offers a unique insight into Fife’s rich domestic, industrial and agricultural past. Pop into the museum to explore our collection of obscure objects and curious curios.
There is a Tea Room and garden for refreshment.
