There has been a church or place of worship on the site of the current church since about 1236 AD. The present church building dates to 1795. In addition to the church building there is a watchhouse which was built in the early 1800s to deter grave robbers.
The church and watchhouse will be open for visitors to enjoy the rich history of these buildings and there will be information available concerning this history and details of the graveyard. Accompanied children are welcome to explore the building and grounds.
