2026 Theme

The Glentrool Hive is a multipurpose community centre for the village of Glentrool, located on the outskirts of the Galloway Forest Dark Sky Park. Owned and ran by the Glentrool & Bargrennan Community Trust, the building offers hall hire, self-catering accommodation and a gallery and craft shop as well as visitor provisions such as toilets, shower units, washing machine and tumble drier use, EV charge point and light refreshments.

Aligning with the 2026 theme of Heritage: Reimagine, we will open our doors to the public, but more specifically similar groups and organisations who wish to reimagine a better future for their community and buildings.

Our project manager and trustees will be on hand to give tours of the facility throughout the day, sit down for a chat about the regeneration capital project, the Glentrool Hive and its development and offer a presentation in the main hall area on a cycle for visitors to watch.

Light refreshments will be available.
