Central Fife
In Person
Built mainly by 3 or 4 teenage volunteers at a time, who were fed and housed by local members and given a modest amount of pocket money. They worked full-time under an experienced building supervisor from 1962-1964. The local congregation helped in their spare time.
The building tour includes viewing the pool for baptism by complete immersion. As well as the worship area there is a large recreation hall and a genealogical centre where visitors can get help to research their ancestry.
A congregation met in Kirkcaldy as early as 1848.
