Central Fife
In Person
It is believed a church has stood on this site since the 10thC and the old name for Leslie, of Fettykil, is possibly derived from the Gaelic for ‘wooden church’.
Join a guided tour of an ancient burial ground where remnants of the mediaeval church may still survive as part of the Douglas and Rothes mausoleums, and hear the stories of the historic buildings that surround Leslie’s ancient green.
The tours will start at regular intervals at the Bull Stone and finish at Leslie Town Hall (also a DOD venue) where refreshment and facilities are available.
