Argyll & Bute
Visitors taking part in doors open day will be given a guided tour of the walkways around the Hill House, learning more about the groundbreaking conservation project being undertaken by the NTS. Guides will share the story of the creation of Hill House, the choice of Portland Cement that has caused water ingress and how we are working to protect this building for the future.

During this session, visitors will be able to handle objects such as books from Blackie and Son, replica tapestries and gesso panels based on Margaret Macdonald’s work, and pieces of the render and sandstone from the house, while learning more about the history of the house.
