Housed within part of a former Victorian school, the Tarves Heritage Centre occupies a building dating from the 19th century and situated in the heart of the village’s Conservation Area. Opened in its present form in 2004, the Centre has been carefully restored to create a vibrant museum and local heritage resource, preserving the character of this historic building while providing a welcoming visitor attraction for Tarves and the surrounding area.

Visitors will receive a warm welcome and can explore a wide range of displays, historical artefacts and photograph collections, as well as experience the authentically restored Victorian classroom, offering a glimpse into school life of the past. The Centre also regularly updates its displays and exhibitions, ensuring there is always something new to discover. Step back in time and discover the rich history, traditions and community life of Tarves through this engaging and welcoming heritage centre.
