Stonehaven Lifeboat Station

RNLI Stonehaven entered a new chapter in its history with the opening of its purpose-built Lifeboat Station and boathouse in September 2025. Designed to support the charity’s lifesaving work for generations to come, the modern facility provides improved accommodation for crew, equipment and training, ensuring the station can continue its vital role protecting those at sea along the Aberdeenshire coast.
Doors Open Days offers a unique opportunity to explore the new station, learn more about the work of the RNLI, and discover how volunteer crews respond to emergencies in all weather conditions. Visitors can meet crew members and hear firsthand about the station's operations, the challenges of lifesaving at sea and the importance of the new facilities.
The station is home to the 'Jamie Hunter' inshore lifeboat, and crew members will be on hand throughout the day to explain how the vessel is used and the difference it makes in helping to save lives at sea.
