This purpose-built facility serves as the headquarters for Live Life Aberdeenshire Libraries, with a public library on site. It acts as the central distribution hub for books and resources circulating across 31 libraries throughout Aberdeenshire. As a working warehouse, it also supports primary and secondary schools, HMP Grampian, care homes, and Doorstep Delivery customers, playing a vital role in the region’s library network.

The building is also home to the Local Studies Centre, which offers a rich collection for anyone interested in local and family history. Resources include books, newspapers, photographs, maps, and materials to support genealogy and heritage research.
