Leith Hall

Aberdeenshire

In Person

Leith Hall was originally built as a traditional Scottish tower house. It has been added to by successive generations of the Leith-Hay family with the last additions being completed in 1912. It has been in the care of the National Trust for Scotland since 1945.

Leith Hall is offering a special architectural tour for Doors Open Days. The Doors Open Days Tour will complement the normal NTS guided tour, and will focus on Leith Hall architectural history and the changing shape of the house across the different Lairds’ tenure. The tours will start by examining the façade of the house followed by an exclusive visit to the South Wing including the Oval Room - which is soon to be reinstated on the guided tour - and gain an insight into some of the ‘behind the scenes’ challenges of caring for historic properties like Leith Hall.

Tour times are 11am and 2pm. Places on these special tours will be limited, please book here
