2026 Theme

Built around 1878 by a group of local businessmen, Kemnay Village Hall is a fine granite building that has served the community for almost 150 years. Originally constructed in a traditional style, the hall was gifted to the people of Kemnay in 1950, when a Trust and Management Committee were established to oversee its future.

Over the years, the building has been extended and adapted to meet the changing needs of the village, creating a surprisingly spacious and versatile community facility. With three rooms available for hire and a wide range of community activities taking place throughout the year, the hall continues to play an important role at the heart of village life. Its blend of historic character and modern facilities makes it a fascinating building to explore.

During Doors Open Days, visitors can browse a display of historic photographs and documents that tell the story of the hall and the wider community.
