Aberdeenshire Farming Museum

Aberdeenshire

In Person

Aberdeenshire Farming Museum, operated by Aberdeenshire Councils Museum Services, is set in the former stables to the Mansion House in Aden Country Park. The buildings in the courtyard date to the early 1800’s. The Aberdeenshire Farming Museum houses a nationally recognised agriculture collection. The Horseman’s house which is also located within the Museum, is a step back in time to 1919 and shows how Jimmy Thomson who was the Aden Estate Horseman and his family lived, whilst looking after the horses of the Russell Family.

We will have guides in the Museum bringing the exhibitions to life including a children’s trail within the Museum.

In addition to the Farming Museum Aden Country Park offers an excellent opportunity to stop and picnic on your day out with its brilliant new children’s play area suitable for all ages and abilities.
