AMIC Spital Mosque is former bank building that was opened as a mosque in the 1970’s as the first mosque in Aberdeen. It provides a place for worship for Muslims, hosting five daily prayers and Friday congregational prayer. The building contains a dedicated and welcoming space for both men and women for worship, learning and community.
Activities include a guided tour of the mosque, which includes the prayer hall, and washing room. There will plenty of Q&A opportunities, Quran listening, try hijab stall, Arabic calligraphy and refreshments. The building will be open to walk freely and read information points about the articles of a mosque. Chance to witness a live afternoon prayer too.
Guided tours at 11.30am, 12.30pm, 2pm and 3pm. Meet at the mosque reception area for tour.
