Aberdeen Town House

5 September 2026 (10:00 - 16:30)

Aberdeen City

In Person

Constructed between 1867 and 1872 to a design by Edinburgh architects, Peddie & Kinnear, the Town House is the civic heart of Aberdeen. The beautiful entrance leads to a stunning spiral staircase from which the ornate civic rooms on the second floor can be accessed. The building is also home to the city’s UNESCO-recognised archive.

A family history event will be taking place in the civic rooms with societies from as far afield as the Borders and Shetland on-hand to answer your genealogical questions.
