Penicuik Heritage Regeneration Project

11 September 2021 (10:00-17:00)

Midlothian

Funded by Heritage Fund and Historic Environment Scotland, the 5 year scheme focuses on the historic core of Penicuik town centre and aims to tackle the effects of poor building maintenance, loss of architectural features, inconsistent shop-front design and unsympathetic public realm works.  It will also offer training in traditional construction skills and the opportunity to develop community engagement projects relating to the history and heritage of Penicuik.

For Doors Open Days 2021 we are inviting you to attend a Family History Digitisation and Colourisation Workshop. A drop in opportunity to gain an understanding of the process of digitising and colouring photographic material.

We welcome visitors to bring along 2 family photographs to go through the process by the project archivist.

No booking required. For further details please email sean.watson@penicuikheritage.org

Please note a change of location for this event!
