Carsphairn Heritage Centre was purpose built in 1992 to house Carsphairn Heritage Group's collection, provide space for a yearly exhibition and to provide a focus point for visitors carrying out family research.

Carsphairn Heritage Initiative is a Scottish Incorporated Charity (SC049987), based in South West Scotland but we have links all over the world via family history researchers.

Our aim is to:

• Preserve our collection of family history records, documents, photographs, slides and locally significant artefacts.
• Digitise our collection as far as possible, to make it accessible to as many people as possible.
