Welcome to Erin Coyle, our newest intern!

We’d like to give a warm welcome to Erin Coyle, who is interning with us this summer.

Erin has just finished her third year at the University of Strathclyde, where she studies Hospitality and Tourism Management, Finance and Marketing. Last summer, she took part in the Common Purpose leadership programme in Madrid where she wrestled with how cities can be designed to ensure they are inclusive. This inspired her interest in making places and heritage more accessible to all.

Here’s what Erin had to say about her interest in heritage & Doors Open Days:

“I have always loved learning about different cultures and travelling and this only grew when I got the chance to study Hospitality and Tourism Management at university. Through my classes and an international experience offered by the university, I have had the opportunity to learn about and experience the culture and heritage of various places and the importance of keeping this alive.

I’m hopeful that I can translate the valuable experience that I’ll gain at the Scottish Civic Trust into a future job in the event management sector, specifically in the tourism industry.”

Welcome Erin! We’re so pleased to have you on board as part of our Doors Open Days 2021 team.
