Leith Theatre was built to commemorate the incorporation of the Burgh of Leith in to the City of Edinburgh. The theatre was opened in 1932 but has been unused since the late 1980's. The Leith Theatre Trust aim to bring the theatre back to life as a vibrant cultural centre for performance, visual arts and community events. This year will see the 85th anniversary of the opening of Leith Theatre, and thanks to Hidden Door, the first show in almost 30 years in the main theatre.
